“If you want to know what your life will be like in 20 years just look at what we’re doing to refugees today” -Cory Docotorow

Will we all be in prison for violating the terms of agreement that no one reads?

Technology leverages amoebic big business’ and or big government’s ability to control or negate our freedom to create any semblance of an idolized yet to be scientifically substantiated all knowing benevolent “free market” God. Gods shouldn’t need to be scientifically proven, and is evolutionarily adaptive to act as if there is one whether we personify the universe as God or Gaia. I think neoliberal economics is a malevolent unacknowledged deity of our time.

Cory’s fictional stories in his book “unauthorized bread” is about refugees who are exploited by technology to limit their physiologically necessary purchases to those that serve their oppressors. Sounds like a pragmatic work of fiction for us humans to digest at this time.

He’s very informed about computers but I’m curious of his knowledge on complex organisms like life, ecosystems, and planetary stuff like meteorology. It would be awesome if someone could help him plug in some of those concepts to the writings. I think it could unite the factions of ‘techno-optimists with Columbus level Mars envy’ and the newer ‘spiritual reverence for life, nature, god, reality, insert your preferred noun’ group that I feel resonance with.

Are we recreating a new healthier set of two party ideologies? I think George Washington would be more comfortable if we had at least 3 perhaps 4. Would it be healthy to facilitate a “glocal” (local action that scales up to global) dialogue on how to diffuse the high blood pressure polarization currently damaging our binaraly thinking inclined politics? Could Republicans and Democrats find appeal and sympathize with these new groups and inform a new dialogue? What if chunks of Republican and Democrats find that they identify with those across the isle in the new terms?

I guess they’re working on making “Unauthorized Bread” into a show or movie. Looking forward to it!
